| What Is the Torch Run? | |

The mission of the Law Enforcement Torch Run For Special Olympics is to raise funds for and awareness of the Special Olympics movement. Law Enforcement officers from every state and move than 30 countries carry the Flame of Hope in honor of the Special Olympics athletes in their area and around the world.

| How is the money raised? | |

| Most Torch Run programs raise money through
the Torch Run itself, law enforcement officers who participate in the Run
collect pledges in order to participate or collect sponsorships for each
mile they run.

| Torch Run in Westmoreland County | |

| The Law Enforcement Torch Run in Westmoreland
County is being coordinated by the Latrobe Police Department. They are seeking sponsors for the runners
participating in the Westmoreland County leg of the run and can be reached
at 724-537-5526,
Ext. 57. Donors may also contribute by sending their tax deductible donation to: Special Olympics
Westmoreland County All proceeds from the Run will be used for the Special Olympics Westmoreland County Athletes' Sports Fund, benefiting more than 600 special needs athletes who train and compete in sports.

| When is the Torch Run? | |

| The Westmoreland County Law Enforcement Torch Run will take place each May through Latrobe and will end up at Latrobe Stadium during the Opening Ceremonies of the Special Olympics Westmoreland County Track and Field Meet, beginning at 9:00 am. | |
