W
ELCOME to the Special Olympics- Westmoreland County web site.  In 1969,
37 athletes and 12 volunteers participated
in a track and field meet at Pitt Stadium, marking our humble beginning.  Today,
close to 600 athletes assisted by over 900 coaches and volunteers participate in sports training and competitions at the county, regional and state levels.

THIS IS OUR STORY.  Read about our athletes and their coaches.  Find out how to join in the fun and rewards by being a volunteer.  Discover ways to help with donations.

Let us share our success stories with you!
