| Memorable Special Olympics moment: | ||
| "About ten years ago, Mark was talking with some adult friends at a nearby church (St. Michael's Syrian Orthodox) and was telling them about participating in the swimming Special Olympics and they told him that each would give him one dollar for every medal he received. When he went up the next day wearing three medals he won for each event he participated in, they laughed and shook their heads in disbelief. All 5 of them gave him a dollar for each medal. He was thrilled! This was told to me later by one of those friends." Rosanne Kirk | ||
